Management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Pays a Courtesy Call

On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, the Chief Executive Officer of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Yakubu Seidu Adam, together with his Management Team, paid a courtesy call on the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC). The visit was aimed at exploring possible areas of collaboration to enhance the hospital’s digital capacity and operational efficiency

The delegation was warmly received at the Head Office of GIFEC by the Acting Administrator, Mr. Sofo Tanko Rashid-Computer, along with Directors from various departments. In his welcome remarks, Mr. Sofo Tanko Rashid-Computer touched on the mandate of GIFEC, highlighting the Fund’s achievements such as expanding digital access and infrastructure across the unserved and underserved communities in Ghana.

Dr. Yakubu Seidu Adam on the other hand expressed appreciation on behalf of his Management Team for the warm reception and further shared a brief history on Korle Bu Teaching Hospital as being one of West Africa’s largest and renowned medical institutions. He outlined some of the challenges the hospital faces in digital transformation, particularly in relation to the absence of essential software and electronic infrastructure
