On Friday, June 26, 2026, the leadership of the Graduate Students' Association of Ghana, University of Education, Winneba (GRASAG-UEW), led by its President, Emmanuel Mensah, paid a courtesy call on the Administrator of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), Mr. Tanko Rashid-Computer

During the meeting, the delegation discussed areas of mutual interest, particularly initiatives aimed at supporting students through digital technology. In response to a request from the association, Mr. Tanko Rashid-Computer presented laptop computers to GRASAG-UEW to enhance their academic and administrative activities.

The gesture underscores GIFEC's continued commitment to promoting digital inclusion and supporting education through improved access to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools.

  • The role of ICT tools (like laptops) in enhancing academic research, administrative efficiency, and overall student experience.
  • Broader implications for Ghana’s digital inclusion agenda when student bodies are directly empowered.
